A day in the life of a preschool teacher looks a little different depending on the age you teach and how long the day is, however there is usually a set schedule you follow everyday. Â Being a lead and an assistant teacher from ages 1- Pre-k the day looks something like this,
Drop off, play or circle time, outside time, snack or lunch, nap time, craft or learning, afternoon snack and dismissal.Â
I think the one thing you have to be good at is multitasking and planning your day out in advance so the flow of the day goes smoothly and you have more control of your classroom and your students. There is usually a communication platform like Brightwheel for example that you use everyday that connects you to the parents.  You can use this to post pictures and important information each day that you want the parents to know.  Like any job you have your good days and bad days but looking back I’ve never had people that I work with so excited to see me everyday as my students were to so that made up for the bad days. It’s a job that is usually a lot of work for not much pay but it’s nice to know you are making a difference in people’s lives. Â
