My job as an administrative assistant working in the internal audit department of a large healthcare company was one of my favorite jobs. My day to day life looked mostly the same each day but there were a few projects that would come up periodically that I worked on as well. A few of those projects would be quarterly reports I would put together as well as monthly emails that were sent out to hospitals that notified them of future audits. I also helped prepare for any seminars that the department was running.
The same daily tasks were, ordering supplies for the department, filing work papers, filing mail, scheduling meetings, scheduling catering or luncheons, and paying invoices.
I learned that having a servant attitude and the mindset of no job is too small helped me gain respect from superiors which let to trust, more responsibility and eventually a higher salary. I think what I loved most about the job was there was little to no stress, good pay and you never brought your work home with you.
